EU-citizens no longer needs visa to travel to Poland

Most polish waters are under the Polish Angling Society,  PZV, and thus prizes on angling permits varies only a little with type of water, stockings and locality. In the lowlands in the 5 to 10 € range - while salmonid waters in the highlands normally are a bit more expensive - in the  10 - 20 € range most places, with a few at higher prices.
Some waters are private, and prizes here can be significantly higher.

There's no closed season for carp in Poland, where the species is found in most fresh waters . Carp under 30 cm must be put back. 
Wels catfish are protected the first 5 months of the year.

Jaroslawki lake, Jaroslawski
This lake of about 10 ha. with depths to 2˝ m was excavated in 1988 on the urge of local carpanglers, and have been heavily stocked with both carp, grasscarp catfish and several other species. 8 tonnes of carp from 2 - 11 kg were stocked along with 30 specimens from 11 - 20 kg. In all 17 - 18 tonnes of fish were stocked. Growth rates are alledged to be very high - and fish stocked of 11 kg reached 20 kg after amazingly few years. Nightfishing with 2 rods possible - 2005 price 15 zloty / 24 hrs (about 4 €). 
The water is located only 40 - 50 km from
Szczecin (Stettin) - thus not far from the german border.

Glinianka Ozarowa lake
Polish carp record was caught here in 1993 by Dariusk Zoltaszek. >Carpe Magazine no. 88, nov. 1999<

Moczydla lake
A giant mirror carp of 29,9 kg and 104 centimeters long was caught in october 2003 from this 7 ha lake near Rybnik in the south of the country. >Média Carpe no. 56, march 2004<

Rybnik lake
This dammed lake on the river Oder is well known for the many very big grasscarp, that have been caught to 30 kg+. Rumours of 35 kg+ carp has been put forward, but not confirmed - but the carp grow to 30 kg+ here. Warm cooling water is let out from the Rybnik power plant.
Many of the earlier well known big fish are supposed to have left the lake during serious floodings in the late nineties - but very big fish are nevertheless still known to be present. The lake can be fished in two different sectors from 01.02.03 - 31.12.03 from 5 o'clock to 10 o'clock in the evening. No nightfishing. Daytickets, as well as permits for 2 weeks and a month are available from the angling store "Sum" in Rudzka and from the watersports center at the lake. The fishing here is very strictly regulated, and as patrols are frequent, it is strongly adviced, that you do not try to break the rules on this water.

Rzeka Laba
Many good carp has been reported from the river Labe - to at least 18,5 kg, reported at the site indicated. As I don't understand a word of polish, I have no further informations. >Internet, Carp.pl, 2003<

Unichowo lake, Pomorskie Region
20 ha commercially run lake with depths to 9 meters, very well stocked with carp. Danish anglers have visited the water several times with quite decent catches - but atmittedly without catching any of the real biggies reputed to be present. This very nice 17,2 kg mirror was the biggest reported from the may 2005 visit.

Turawa lake
This big 2200 ha. reservoir on the two small rivers Mata Ponew and Libawka serve as part of a secirity system on the Oder river system to minimize the risk of floodings. The average depths are quite modest - about 4 meters. Carp has been caught here of 15 kg+ .
